Both Teams Down Saint Jo
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Montague Lady Eagles secured their third district win against Saint Jo on Thursday, December 12th, improving their district record to 3-1. The girls came out focused and prepared for a tough matchup against a skilled and cohesive team. Despite the challenge, the Lady Eagles prevailed in a close game, thanks in part to their impressive 34 steals. Maddie Travis was named Player of the Game, contributing with 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and an outstanding 12 steals.
The Eagles defeated their rivals, Saint Jo, with a 39-27 victory. This was undoubtedly their toughest challenge of the season, but the team came together and secured the win in front of their home fans. Zayden McCullar led the scoring with 11 points, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Aiden Chavez was the top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards along with 9 points. Levi Newland facilitated the offense with 3 assists, while also contributing 6 points and 5 steals. The boys remain undefeated and will look to extend their perfect record against Bellevue as they close out the semester before Christmas break.
