Volleyball Wins, Cross Country Medals 2
The Montague Cross Country Teams competed at the Alvord meet against much bigger schools and came home with 2 medalists. On the girl's side, out of 109 girls and 10 teams, the Lady Eagles placed 7th overall. 6th grader Sage Keck was the lone medalist for the 2nd week in a row coming in 9th. Other places were: Jalena Rodriguez 34th, Kenzi McEwen 39th, Lynlee Coffman 69th, and Brily Johnson 91st. The boys placed 4th as a team and Levi Newland medaled with a 10th place finish. Other places were: Zayden McCullar 12th, Caiden Young 19th, Decker Reese 31st, and Leevi Brown 42nd.
The volleyball team traveled to Prairie Valley where they downed the Lady Bulldogs 27-25, 25-8. Lily Gray was on fire with her serving, serving up 95% with 3 aces. Trinity Hudson had a personal best of 17 amazing digs while Brylee Coffman led with 4 kills. Other outstanding stats: Maddie Travis 3 aces, 3 assists, 3 kills, while Sage Keck also had a PR with 6 digs.
CC will compete at PV next Wednesday, 9-25 and volleyball will host Christ Academy 9-26 beginning at 4:00.
