Montague Wins Consolation Championship at Bowie Tournament and 2 Wins at Forestburg
The Montague Lady Eagles had a successful last few days on the volleyball court. On Thursday they played at Forestburg where the blue team played first and won 25-8, 25-15. Jalena Rodriguez led with 7 aces and Kenzi McEwen with 6. JoAnna Parr led in hitting with 4 kills while Rodriguez had 3 kills and 3 assists. The white team also defeated the Lady Longhorns 25-7, 25-10.
The white team then competed in the 7th grade A team tournament in Bowie where they won the Consolation Championship. They started the day with a loss to Bowie 19-25, 22-25, that sent them to the consolation side of the bracket. From there they had a great day, defeating Millsap 25-4, 25-22 and then Bridgeport 25-10, 25-21 in the championship game.
