All 3 Teams Sweep Bellevue
All 3 Montague teams won their games at Bellevue Thursday night. The Lady Eagles started out first winning 37-22 with Paige Davis leading the way with 26 points, 6 assists and 8 rebounds. Lynlee Coffman contributed 9 points and 7 rebounds while Maddyn Bowles scored a basket and had 4 steals. Maddie Travis pulled down 4 rebounds while stealing the ball 3 times and Trinity Hudson had 3 rebounds.
On the boy's side, Montague won 56-21. The boys played tenacious defense combining for a total of 27 steals as a team. Top performers included Leevi Brown with 16 points, 6 steals and 2 rebounds, Zayden McCullar 13 points, 4 assists, and Kage Arnett 9 points, 6 steals, 2 rebounds. Other contributors were Brazos Jones with 8 points, 2 blocks, 3 steals, Levi Newland with 6 points, 6 steals and 5 assists, Aiden Chavez with 2 points, 3 rebounds, Koloa Teulilo 2 points, 6 rebounds and Ryan Newman 2 steals, 4 assists.
Montague and Bellevue elected to play a "5th quarter" for their B teams and Montague was victorious in that quarter and ended with a buzzer beating 3 pointer by William Henley.
Montague will go on break for the holidays and will pick back up January 11th at Slidell.
